One of Boards for Bros founders and Skateboard Hall of Fame Inductee (2007), Ed’s first skateboard had Chicago trucks with just one bushing and clay wheels with loose ball bearings. Since then he has always had a skateboard. Competing in vertical skating in the 70’s and 80’s was the highlight of his skating career. He ‘selected’ the University of Florida because Gainesville, FL had the best skatepark on the east coast and he found himself in a scene that was fresh and exciting to be a part of. From the very first Boards for Bros distribution at Tampa’s historic Bro Bowl, to spreading the stoke in North Carolina, Ed is one of the most dedicated Boards for Bros volunteers on earth and his ongoing commitment to giving the gift of skateboarding is having a huge impact on youth’s lives year after year.
